Ohio? Where Did That Come From!?!

Kevin got a call from the assignments folks telling him they want him to be an Acquisitions Officer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio.  Well, anyone who has been on Facebook in recent months knows that was noooooooooo where to be found on our wish list.  We had really hoped to be West again near family and Kevin really hoped he'd be getting his own office, after all, he's been a deputy twice with his current assignment as Deputy of the biggest Base Legal Office in the Air Force!

'Twas not to be, at least for now.   Someday we will plant roots out West, for now, the Lord must have work for us in the East.  Everything we have heard about the area is wonderful.  Overseas tours for us have a fixed amount of time, but stateside....not so much.  This makes it very difficult to buy a home when we don't know how long we will be in an area.  Thankfully, the rentals in this area are very new and nice.

Kevin spoke with two people he knows who work in the Ohio office and it sounds like the job will be a good one.  The Air Force has a great need right now for Contract Attorneys so if that's your expertise (Kevin graduated #1 in Contract Law from George Washington University so.....it's his) then JAG will put you where they need you, not necessarily where you want to be.

We will make the most of it as we have every assignment.  At least we will be back in our Country and get to see a part of the U.S. that we never have.  We want to go to a lot of church historic sites.  Palmyra will be high on our list!!  We won't know if we get to go to Utah this summer until we find out when we are going to leave here.  Hopefully, we will know soon!  So many plans will be affected by this....EFY, camps for the kids, etc...
